Local hat specialist Carol Forster knows better than most how big a role hats will play in the Royal Wedding.
Her company Get Ahead Hats, based in Blanchland in Northumberland, has been supplying Kate Middleton and her family for some time and is helping many of the guests choose their hats for the big day.
Kate is a big fan of hats and she has been coming to us for a number of years as have her mum and sister, said Carol.

She predicted that many of the younger guests would opt for some of the most modern, eye-catching head wear.
Percher hats and half hats that have a very tiny brim and are worn at a dramatic angle above the right eyebrow are particularly popular with this age group and would be the perfect choice for the bolder young Royals and their friends, said Carol.
Carol revealed that Get Ahead Hats had already supplied a number of Royal Wedding guests with their hats for the big day and although she refused to be drawn on the details, she said they were going for very elaborate designs.
I cant say whos wearing what but the guests we have been helping have all gone for flamboyant and dramatic styles with large brims.
In fact one of the guests has bought her hat from us before choosing her outfit and is now having something made to fit in perfectly with her hat.
