North East leaders by example: Seamus Coen

Seamus Coen has held the post of Regional General Manager for Linden Hall Hotel in Northumberland for six months.
As the 2009 Scottish General Manager of the year, he brings a level of high experience to his new position.
He joined Macdonald Hotel Group in 2006, where his first position was at the prestigious Burlington Hotel in Birmingham.
In his guise as Regional General Manager, Seamus also has responsibility for the Marine Hotel and Spa in North Berwick and spends his time between the two establishments.
Seamus intends to achieve a culture of exceptional service by a medium term strategy of expansion in all services.
He said: 'My immediate priorities are an increase in annual wedding business to 120 ceremonies from the present 100, coupled with development of the corporate golf membership.
This will be achieved through outstanding attention to detail from our excellent employees.'
