North East leaders by example: Mandy Russell

Managing director, owner of a tavern and an author, Mandy Russell has a lot going on. Mandy, who spent 25 years as a senior retail manager and executive, is Managing Director of Mpower International in North Shields, which she started last year, owner of the Market Tavern in Alnwick and has published a book.
Mpower International is a Training and Coaching company, providing Leadership, Teambuilding and coaching based workshops, seminars and one to one coaching. The Market Tavern is a pub, restaurant and six bedroom bed & breakfast. She has another book underway and writes for leadership blogazine Linked2Leadership.
Mandy, who lives in Morpeth with husband Shaun and children, Rebecca 10 and Daniel 6, said: To be a successful influencer and role model the key competencies you need are self belief, great communication skills and vision. You must know what good looks like and paint that picture for those around you in a way they understand.
