Make your bedroom your sanctuary

Your bedroom should be your sanctuary and your retreat from the cares of the world - make sure it's the room of your dreams
We spend so much time in our bedrooms. Most of them sleeping of course, but at the end of the day, you need a room which comforts and creates a relaxing ambience to dream away the days cares.
But creating your dream bedroom isnt always as easy as it seems. You need to think carefully about what style, colour and atmosphere youre looking for.
Are you going for regal, a slumber room fit for a king and queen, full of rich colours and detail; a restful room, easy on the eye with neutral tones and crisp white sheets; a pretty room with frills and flounces; a cosy retreat with lots of comforters and blankets, or a sexy room with satin sheets - mind you dont slip - and lots of pillows and cushions.
And its not just about the bed. Consider whether you really need a television. What about music instead? A good music system in the bedroom can turn it into a relaxing cocoon, rather than a mini cinema. But its all a matter of taste.
Also look at what sort of lighting and flooring will complement the style. Are you a warm wood floor person - and what about underfloor heating? - or a deep pile carpet fan.
