Entrepreneurial Geordie-Italian siblings Aldo, Joseph and Cristina De Giorgi have invested 100,000 in the installation of a new open kitchen at Pasqualinos Bar Pizzeria on Market Street, to celebrate its first anniversary.
The kitchen includes a new four tonne oven which reaches temperatures of 900Ëšf and a charcoal grill, to give a rustic, smoky taste that cannot be achieved using gas or electric ovens.
Cristina De Giorgi said: As Pasqualinos is now a year old, we wanted to celebrate by investing in new facilities to further cement its status as a top quality city centre eaterie offering an authentic taste of Southern Italy.
To celebrate its first anniversary, Pasqualinos is offering a free glass of prosecco when two courses are purchased from the a la carte menu after 7.30pm as well as 20 per cent off cocktails in the bar area from 9.30pm until late. The offer runs until May 30 and can be redeemed by printing the form online at www.pasqualinos.co.uk
