Get ready for Newcastle Fashion Week, the city's biggest fashion and shopping event of the year
Newcastle will be the centre of the fashion world this month when the citys second annual Fashion Week gets underway. The event will include catwalk shows, high street VIP shopping events, industry talks featuring fashions finest, exclusive aftershow parties and much more.
Last years inaugural event featured more than 70 fashion focused events and this year it will be bigger and better, with a newly extended programme including Newcastle Fashion Weekend which promises to be the regions biggest fashion and shopping event of the year.
Organisers are planning more high brow catwalks showcasing designer, high street and upcoming brands, key fashion industry icons, stronger celebrity involvement, a Guinness World record breaking attempt, a splurge of high street activities and many more dynamic fashion events.
Sandra Tang, Newcastle Fashion Week Coordinator at organisers NE1 Ltd, said: Were so excited about this years event.
The programme is amazing and the addition of Newcastle Fashion Weekend has catapulted the event to a whole new level.
If you thought last years fashion week blasted on to the scene and set the bar high, just you wait. Newcastle Fashion Weekend on its own would be amazing but team this with the whole week of events leading up to it, and you have yourself a fashion fiesta. Fashionistas need to prepare themselves for the onslaught.
The event runs from Saturday May 26th to Sunday June 3rd and kicks off with two catwalk shows beside the iconic Greys Monument the first a showcase of design talent from Newcastle College, the second called Work It providing inspiration on how to dress for success with a showcase of outfits that are ideal for the office and for interviews.
