The Variety Club Children's Charity (Northern Region) invited guests to a special presentation luncheon at Jesmond Dene House in honour of Her Grace, The Duchess of Northumberland.

The Variety Club Childrens Charity (Northern Region) invited guests to a special presentation luncheon at Jesmond Dene House in honour of Her Grace, The Duchess of Northumberland.


The day was hosted by entertainer Steve Walls and special guest Bob Flowerdew, from Gardeners Question Time, presented the Duchess with The Variety Club Silver Heart in recognition of her outstanding work and support for the North East community and charities in the region.


Guests were treated to a Pimms reception and enjoyed a two-course lunch, while entertainment was supplied by Jan Bennett on the harp. There was also chance to get to know The Duchess a little better with a Q&A session.


During the event a raffle and auction were held, raising in excesss of 3,500 which The Variety Clubs Northern Region Chairman Bob Gladwin gratefully received on their behalf.
