Solicitors at Darlington firm Latimer Hinks raised more than £3,300 by hosting a charity ball where guests dressed as brides and grooms.

Solicitors at Darlington firm Latimer Hinks raised more than 3,300 by hosting a charity ball where guests dressed as brides and grooms.

The Brides Ball, which was organised to raise money for the Holistic Cancer Care Centre at James Cook University Hospital, Age UK (Darlington) and St Teresas Hospice in Darlington, was held at Rockliffe Hall, Hurworth.

One of the event organisers, solicitor Helen Thomas, said: The support the Brides Ball received was fantastic, from colleagues and local businesses, which provided a huge array of amazing prizes and auction lots. I think the innovative nature of the event and the dress code were very attractive and people loved having the opportunity to get dressed up.

Photographer Debbie Stogden, whose pictures are shown here, is selling copies of the photos with all proceeds going to the charities. To buy copies go to her website, www.debbiestogden-photography.co.uk/bridesball.
