The Black Horse at Beamish celebrates its first anniversary

The Black Horse country gastro pub at Red Row, Beamish, in County Durham hosted a special VIP and media event last month to celebrate its first anniversary.

This followed an extensive refurbishment, and plans are in hand for further development.

Guests enjoyed champagne and canaps and included Lady Elsie Robson, and representatives from the regions business community, including membersof the North East Chamber of Commerce, Girl Geeks andNorth East Life.

A birthday cake in the shape of the building was cut to mark the occasion.

The pub has panoramic views in our extensive outdoor beer garden and terraces, with 10 acres of on-site vegetable gardens and orchards supplying organic vegetables, free range poultry and line caught fish which is smoked in-house.
