St Cuthbert's Hospice annual Golf Day was blessed with glorious sunshine at Ramside Hall near Durham and raised nearly £6,000.
St Cuthberts Hospice annual Golf Day was blessed with glorious sunshine at Ramside Hall near Durham and raised nearly 6,000.
Seventeen teams took part in the charity fundraiser, including teams from Apex Cables, Brambledown Landscapes, The Gates Shopping Centre and the Radisson Blu. The event was sponsored by Whitfields Building Services, owned by hospice trustee Kevin Whitfield, who also entered a team of golfers.
We couldnt have asked for better weather so everyone was in great spirits, and a fantastic amount of money was raised, said Kevin.
Golfers completed a round of golf and guests were then given a club house dinner and prize presentation.
The winning team was Pulman Volkswagen, with prizes also being awarded to teams for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.
St Cuthberts is a Durham-based charity which offers free care and support to local people who have life limiting illnesses.
