The King's School, Tynemouth, held a glittering evening to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the distinguished school's foundation.

The Kings School, Tynemouth, held a glittering evening to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the distinguished schools foundation.

Held in the prestigious Kings Hall within the Chapter Building, the event was attended by the outgoing Headmaster, Philip Cantwell, new interim Headmaster, Mark Heywood, school staff and parents.

Staff and pupils performed admirably, stewarding the event and providing everyone attending an evening not easily forgotten.

Headmaster,Philip Cantwell , who is moving to pastures new in the governments flagship academies programme, was particularly honoured to oversee such a milestone evening for Kings School.
