A very special guest was welcomed to one of the North East's best known hotels and event venues to celebrate his 50th birthday.
A very special guest was welcomed to one of the North Easts best known hotels and event venues to celebrate his 50th birthday.
Foreign Secretary and Conservative MP for Richmond in North Yorkshire, William Hague took time out from his busy schedule to celebrate his birthday with a dinner for 260 guests at
the Morritt Hotel at Greta Bridge in Teesdale.
Morritt owners Barbara Johnson and her husband Peter Phillips said they were very pleased that Mr Hague, who was accompanied by his wife Ffion, had chosen the hotel for the occasion.
Barbara said: The hotel was really buzzing with excitement and we were thrilled to be able to host what was a very happy event.
The party was organised by Mr Hagues Conservative constituency chairman and officers, who along with friends and colleagues enjoyed a champagne reception and dinner in the hotels ballroom.
