The region's top amateur photographers showcase their work
Thanks to all of you who have entered the Great British Photograph competition. There has been a terrific response from the North East and our fingers are crossed that the winner will come from this region.
However, we dont have to wait for the result to enjoy more stunning pictures of the North East and, once again, weve got a rich crop to display in our Gallery feature this month.
Such has been the response to our Readers Photographs website pages that we will, in future, move to selecting pictures for this feature in the magazine from the website. We will also continue to make selections from disks previously supplied by readers, although we are requesting that no further disks of pictures be submitted.
Because of the low resolution of website photographs, readers whose pictures are selected for print will be contacted in advance for hi-res images and captions.
The Readers Gallery feature in the magazine is only open to amateur photographers. Although the website contains beautiful pictures from other places, notably the Lake District, we will continue to select pictures for publication from within the counties of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Cleveland. Readers whose pictures are selected will be asked to recognise our right to publish the pictures in North East Life at a date or dates to be decided by the co-editors. We also reserve the right to use photographs for North East Life promotional features. The name of the photographer will be credited on all published pictures.
To submit your pictures to North East Life, please go to www.northeast.greatbritishlife.co.uk, register your name, if you havent already done so, and follow the guidance under the Reader Photos tab explaining how to upload your pictures.
In addition to submitting hi-res images on disk as requested for the Gallery pages, readers can now post their photographs on our website. Go to the following link for further information: northeast.greatbritishlife.co.uk
