The region's top amateur photographers showcase their work
The readers of North East Life have responded magnificently to our request for beautiful photographs of the region to be sent in for publication and or posted directly to our website. This has resulted in the pages of the magazine being enhanced by some stunning photography and the North East Life website having more pictures than the sites of any other of Archant Lifes county magazines. Readers are also setting the pace in entering their photographs for the Great British Photograph of the Year, with a prize of 5,000 for the winning photographer. Great work - keep it coming.
It couldnt be easier to submit your photographs to North East Life. Send them on a disk as jpegs or tiffs at 300 dpi. Ideally, files should be between 1mg and 2mg in size.
Mark the disk NEL Reader Photos and write on the disk your name, town or village and contact phone number.
Include a Word document on the disk, giving your name, full postal address, contact phone number, email address (if available) and captions stating the location or description of the photographs you are submitting.
The promotion is only open to amateur photographers. Each photograph must have been taken by the entrant and must be an image from within the counties of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Cleveland. Pictures selected for publication will be chosen by co-editors Sue Campbell and Andrew Smith. Entry will recognise our right to publish the pictures in North East Life at a date or dates to be decided by the co-editors. We also reserve the right to use photographs for North East Life promotional features. The name of the photographer will be credited on all published pictures.
Send your entry to Reader Photos, North East Life, PO Box 199, Hexham, Northumberland NE46 9AG.
*Please make sure your images are copies - we cannot undertake to return discs.
